GridWordz is a word strategy game that tests your ability to make as many words as possible from randomly selected letters. How good a wordsmith are you?
There are 2 GridWordz games available to play. A single-player (SP) game that you can play by yourself and a player versus player (PvP) game where you can play against either a computer matched opponent or you can directly challenge someone.
GridWordz isn't like any other word strategy game you've ever played before, it is totally fair, there is no luck involved!
The key strategy to score well in any GridWordz game is to identify words within words and spot how these can be created.
Plan ahead, leave gaps for vowels or consonants that will allow you to make multiple words within words.
How you play and how you score doesn't depend on whether you get lucky in drawing the best letters out of a bag, or whether a computer randomly favours you or whether you go first or second.
The outcome of any game is dependent totally on your skill at constructing words and how you strategise to best create good lines of words.
Each 'turn' you and your opponent will receive a letter that you have to place in your 'grid'. Try and make as many words as possible. Your opponent wiill be doing the same. The turn ends when you have both placed the letter or your timers have run out.
You will be able to see your score and your opponents score as the game progresses. Keep an eye on your opponents score, you'd be surprised how placing one good letter can dramatically change a game!
When the last letter has been delivered the person with the highest accumulated word score wins the game.
A game can end in a number of ways:
1) It is played out and one or other player wins, or it is a draw.
2) A player may forfeit the game during game play; this ends the game and the win points are awarded to the other player.
3) A player may be automatically resigned from the game for taking too long over a number of turns. In this case the other player will receive the win points.
4) A player may drop out due to disconnection problems or by purposefully closing down the APP. In this case the remaining player receives the win points

The single-player game can be played online or offline.
Each Tier is made up of 5 Grids that you play to accumulate a total score for that particular Tier level. You're objective is to accumulate a total score higher than the target score for that Tier to be able to access the next highest Tier.
You can play a Tier as many times as you like to try to beat the score, or to try to achieve you're best score for that Tier, or to even try to beat or create the best score in the World for that Tier.
There are global leaderboards for each Tier. The Global High Score Leader board for each Tier can be seen by pressing the blue and white bar graph icon on the Tier bar.
Can you get on the leader board or even get to the top?
Some Tier levels will be harder than others. See how high you can go.
Please Note: Your score will only be entered on to the leader boards if you are online at the the time of playing.
Please Note: Your scores and Tier progress in single player mode are saved locally and won’t be available on other devices.
The first time you play the Single Player game you will start on Tier 1.
Most Tiers are made up of 5 Grids that you play to accumulate a score.
Your objective, is to accumulate a total score higher than the target score for that Tier to open the next Tier.
You can play a Tier as many times as you like to try to beat the target score or to try to achieve you're best score for that Tier, or to even try to beat or create the best score in the world for that Tier.
Some Tier levels will be harder to get through than others...see how high you can go.
Hint 1
If your total score for a Tier does not beat the target score you can just keep playing it until you do.
Hint 2
There are mostly 5 grids to complete in the lower level Tiers. The letters are always the same for the same grid but the grids are delivered in a random sequence.
Try to remember some of the letters to help you recognise what other letters may be coming to you for that particular grid. This will help you in positioning letters to score more highly.
Hint 3
If you are making a 'hash' of a particular grid you can forfeit the game, the same grid will be available to play again in that Tier.
Hint 4
You may have played a few grids in a particular Tier and you realise that even if you complete the last grids you will not make the target score.
Abandon the whole Tier and start again.
Hint 5
Some Tiers are harder than others to get through, some may seem almost impossible, but they are not.
Keep going, every Tier can be cracked with the right combinations of letters.
